Organic Fortnight begins today!
The Soil Association Organic Fortnight is the biggest celebration of all things organic in the UK. They are encouraging you to try something organic every day... It starts today, and if you receive our newsletter, you should have a £5 discount voucher to get you going... So why not start with what you're wearing?!
We've been making our t-shirts from organic cotton for the last few years. Cotton accounts for around twenty-five percent of worldwide use of pesticides. The World Health Organization estimates that upwards of 20,000 people die every year due to accidental pesticide poisoning and around one million suffer from acute long term poisoning. Cotton farming conventionally causes long term contamination of important rivers, lakes and waterways.
Spunky T-Shirts Spotted at Shambala 2010
We took a trip up to the fantastic Shambala Festival in Northamptonshire this weekend, and spotted loads of our t-shirts on those revellers who weren't in fancy dress!
Over the weekend we saw 'Strange Rainbow', 'Jackin Club Beats', 'Jazz Trumpet' and several more that we were too drunk to remember!
We had a great time and even managed to get in to work today...

It's a great charity raising funds for men's health and the guys that run it are really cool. The 5 designs we use will receive 50p per t-shirt sold, and we're hoping to sell at least 1000 this year and if successful your design will run again next year and continue to get paid for every sale. Plus you'll get an invite to the Movember party in London... You will, as always, be credited for your design on our website. Spunky are donating £5 per tee to the charity and hope to raise £6000 this year.
