T-Shirt Designer and Urban Artist of the Week
Nano4814 is a street activist and city wanderer originally hailing from the northwestern coast of Spain but now based in Madrid. He was adopted by a crew of nomad skateboarders who showed him the marvels of the world. He is always trying to stay busy, and is inspired by music, Dr Slump, early Slap magazine, The Warriors and all other types of urban debauchery. He adopted spray paint as a way to express himself in the early nineties and became a xylene addict.
The character of the squid developed as his alter ego in the streets, representing his persona and the media he uses, which is anything that leaves an indelible stain. Nano4814 is currently afiliated with the Scrawl Collective and the allmighty Special Children Anticrew!
His ‘Nano Skulls’ T-Shirt, created for the Designers Collective in 2005, has become something of a classic. It is currently available as a 100% Organic Fairtrade Cotton T-Shirt for men, and in the Organic Women’s Tee shown to the right. Even better, both are currently reduced as part of our spunky.co.uk Streetwear Sale!
